I use Cocktail which has an option to disable App Nap systemwide, it's not needed or appropriate for an audio workstation.
http://www.maintain.se/cocktail/ It's in the 'System' tab in the 'Misc' section.

I just upgraded to Mavericks and found out that when Eucontrol app is open or working that creates conflicting with other apps like my systen with TouchOSC.
it is possible that mavericks make such a mess?? all was great with Mountain Lion. should I move to Yosemite?
