I always select unused and then the clear selected clips from session commands 3-4 times in a row. Every single time, it will select more clips even though I just cleared out all unused clips. It doesn't actually select anything for me when I select unused in this session. And there are SO many unused files.

Save copy in and reinstall pro Tools?

It hasn't worked correctly since PT7 I think. Make sure you delete the undo history and then do it again and it usually clears everything.

Exactly this. I used to close and re-open the session, but now I just create and then immediately delete a track. That's the only way I've found to be able to clear the undo queue (without reaching for the mouse that is - someone may have a better shortcut keyboard method...?)

Wierd that didnt work for you all well friends . I always use this steps . Consolidate > select unused > clear selected > delete . Always work as expected for me :-/ !
