Email says i can reinstate plan for $99, but...
Okay, so I had an HD support plan that ran out end of March. Today I get an email saying, "...we should have sent you an email notification reminding you to renew your plan weeks before it expired. But we forgot to unmute our reminder system and sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. Because of this, we are extending your renewal grace period to the 31st of May. Simply log in to your Avid Account or contact your reseller to renew your plan now at the low $99 (USD)/year price (renewals made after this date will be subject to $299 (USD) reinstatement plan pricing)."
Surely this only applies to vanilla plans, no? I'm guessing for me this means I can still do $399 before it jumps to $999? |

There is a 30 day grace period. So you should be able to renew your HD plan for $399 still.

Yes the email is obviously a mistake. Avid seems to have had this same issue a few times recently. Crazy huh?

got the same email, wasn't sure whether it also applied to my HD license.
wrote to Avid registration tech support. i'm told it does also apply to HD, that you do have the extra month extension on the HD license too. apparently some accounts didn't get the reminder email on time, so now your grace period is 60 days instead of 30. |

Keeping in mind my question isn't whether or not there's a grace period, but whether $99 is the correct amount, given I had an HD license.

Unfortunately, some emails went out prematurely and may have contained some links that didn’t work or other errors. I don’t know the answer to your question but the teams are working on it. Today I also received the
"Sorry for not reminding you that your Pro Tools plan was expiring" email. I renewed my Vanilla plan without the support part in March 2016. I also have a current HD plan till Feb 2017.
