Default Installed external drive and am still having CPU errors.

I have installed an external drive, moved all my song folders over to the external and im still not able to even start a song without CPU error. Is there a way I need to configure between my HD and the external drive that I am missing? I set up the computer as specified during the install.

On another note, is there a way to search threads just from the "LE Mac systems 003,002 Mbox" forum? Im sure this has been covered maybe I'm not using the right terminology in my search?

I should add that I set up the computer as specified during the install, but added the external drive a few weeks later. Everything was working fine until I guess I bogged down the HD hence the addition of the external.

So what computer are you running? You list an iMac and G5. Are you using FW or USB drive? USB is not supported so you MUST have FW.

More info will help us help you....

Yeah its an Imac G5 power PC not intel! I bought a USB drive...DOH!

Thanks. Off to get a FireWire HD.

Will I need to do anything special after I partition the drive?

The FW drive will be great once it's initialized. Happy tunes...
