Default Laying in audio tracks from PTmidi.

I am trying to lay in a stereo mix of a sequence via PT midi from my JV880. The recorded audio tracks(and PT monitoring) are very distorted, but when I monitor the JV880 through the console, everything is fine. I have to turn down the input from the console to PT really low, only three led's, for it not to distort. What's going on here?
