Default I cant hear sound while previewin using AudioSuite

Hey Fellas,

The title says it all. For some reason when using AudioSuite I cannot preview how it will sound. I get no sound at all during preview. Hopefully someone can help me figure this one out.

Thanks
Eddie

In I/O setups, what do you have listed for your "Audition Path"? Is it an I/O that you are monitoring out of?

Hey Spkguitar,

Im monitoring out spidf, but its not in the audition path to select? Makes sense that should be spidf just gotta to get that option in the audition path.

I will keep trying to figure it out, and checking back here also if you chime in.

thanks for clueing me in. Right now the only options I have are the Analog 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8

Eddie

Actually, if I remember correctly, this isn't possible right now.

I found a workaround in an older thread, but I'm not sure if this works or not.

Ok cool, I will try on 1/2 because my headphone mix is going out 5,6,7,8. I will let ya know if this works.

Thanks

Looks like a no go, trying it that way.

Its funny because I was at a digidesign user group tonight and a rep from digi was there. When I explained what my problem was, he had no clue and said I would probably have to reinstall. I was like ummmm nooo that is not the problem. I went on futher to explain using a comparison to my problem (when using spdif it doesnt allow windows media player to flow thru pt and Im thinking this maybe the same for AudioSuite). Well it looks like this one wont be solved unless I run my analog 1/2 outs thru the central station.
When I inactivate analog 1/2 and put spdif on 1/2, I get no sound from my session but it does show up in the audition path. It was worth a try, for now I will just deal with it unless you or someone else can come up with some other ideals.

thanks
Eddie

Funny - I was going to post the same problem this morning when I saw this.

So far, I can't find a way to audition and have the SPDIF outs in my session. Anyone doing this in LE?

I would hate to have to sacrifice a pair of analog outs solely for auditioning!!!

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
