Asio issue Eleven Rack wont initialize

Hi

I recently updraged to protools 10.3.10 and everything went haywire
i also upgaded my eleven rack to 1.1.10
and addictive drums which is working fine in standalone
running windows 10

when I ran protools it began to say asio not initializing. I press ok and it defaults to my saffire , but theres no drop down to select the eleven rack in protools box

i tried rolling back my E rack driver the it began with a bunch of buffering issues
etc

any help would be much appreciated. I hate these update.. nothing but headaches every time

Why are you using ASIO and not the specific drivers for your interfaces? If you're trying to have both online at the same time you need ASIO4ALL. If not then hold down the 'n' key on your computer keyboard to select the audio interface you want to use.

Don't know which Saffire model you have but it may be possible to digitally connect the 11 Rack and Saffire. Consult your manuals for how to do that.

Also make sure neither of your interfaces are set to be used by Windows system sounds.

yes ive installed the driver for the eleven rack and it works fine on my pc for gerneral soundcard use etc . just when i load pt it defaults to the saffire L 56 we have at our jam room.. theres no dropdown to select the eleven rack

You may be allowing the computer to sleep/suspect which will hang the eleven rack driver and it will not appear as a playback engine option until you reboot the computer.

So try...

Reboot the computer

Make sure Windows is not set to use the Eleven Rack as a sound device.

Start Pro Tools and hold down the 'N' key until the play back engine dialog appears and select the Eleven Rack as the playback engine.

You must do the systems optimizations which include disabling power management and USB power management. And you cannot manually sleep or suspend the computer while the Eleven rack is attached and powered on.

DAE errors may not be related. Trash prefs and try with a new empty session.

yeh it wont show eleven rack as an option
it all worked fine before the upgrades

the driver for eleven rack says suits windows 10 and protools 12 etc
im using protools 10.3.10

but the driver for 11 rack that says suits protools 10 on whos upto windows 8
??

Did you do exactly what I suggested?

including trash prefs?

i rolled way back on the 11rack driver to 1.17 and it worked .. for now
obviously the upgrades aren't working for protools 10.. bit weird that

Are you holding down the 'n' key on your computer keyboard as PT starts? That will bring up the possibility to select your audio interface. And make sure your computer isn't using the 11R or even the Saffire for system sounds.
