Opening v7.1 projects in LE v6.4?
Is it possible to open M-powered/LE v7.1 projects on an computer running
ProTools LE v6.4? /floatingpoint_32bit

Only if they're saved as Pro Tools 6.x compatible from Pro Tools 7 system.

To make it clearer, you have to select which older version of Pro Tools you wish to save the project file as on the "save as..." dropdown menu when saving your project. If you're just the mix engineer, you'll have to make sure to specify this to the person in charge of tracking the project when they initially save the project file. Didn't realize it was there for the longest time; I could've saved some money by not upgrading my M-Powered rig at home to 7. Oh well.
Perhaps there's a program that can convert the project file without needing PT 7+ to open it?
