PT 6.01 Crashes on every launch!

I've just installed PT 6.01 and OSX, also Core Audio on my G4. I also added a lot of RAM - an additional half a gig.

And every time I try to launch PT, it hangs up on 'Midi SetUp' and then crashes. If I do a couple of restarts, it'll eventually launch.

I thought it might have to do with Core Audio, since the install notes indicate it will not work with Midi. So I pulled it out of the Audio Plugins library, but it's still crashing.

I also turned off 'Digidesign' in the Sounds prefs. Still crashing.

Any help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've got the same problem without Core Audio (G4 MDD 1,25, MBox).
If I trash the Prefs-Folder I can start ProTools LE 6.0.1 once without crashing. The next time it will hang up again when "Setting up MIDI".

Make sure Classic is not set to auto launch on startup or running in the backround. Make sure sleep setting is set to never and that automatic software update is turned off.

You will also have big problems if ALL your audio drives are not reformatted (HFS+) with the OSX Apple Disc utility prior to using PT6 - OSX [even if they have already been formatted as such before]

Do you know if running the HFS+ drive updater going to effect my older OS9 files that I have on my firewire drive?

I've got a lot of stuff there I can't afford to lose.
