Eleven Rack Randomly Shutting Off

Hey there. I have an Avid Eleven Rack that I'm quite fond of. Bought used from Guitar Center for around $300.

It's been a great device for the last year, give or take. But lately the 11 Rack has taken to shutting off on its own, and then restarting.

This odd behavior seems to occur 10 or 15 minutes after turning on.

Last night I had it restart, so I started examining the back of the device and feeling around. While I was searching, it restarted again. It was my first experience of it restarting twice in a row.

Any ideas of what the problem could be? Anyone experience similar behavior?

Sounds like a cold solder joint on the AC power connection. Have you jiggled the AC cable in the back to see if that influences it?

Could also be a bad capacitor??

Yes I would start by replacing the power cable, and using a different outlet.

Thanks so much for all the replies! I know I played with the AC cable after the first restart. Perhaps that's what caused the immediate subsequent restart.

I have the Eleven Rack plugged into a Furman power conditioner, which is then plugged into a wall socket.

I'll test drive a different power cable and outlet and report back. Thanks!
