Volume knob doesnt work when connected to S/PDIF??
Hello!
So,as i've already said in the title of this thread.. The volume knob doesnt work when im connected to S/PDIF. Volume control is set to All in user options. I can turn the knob up and down from 0-10 but the volume doesnt change. Is it suppose to be like this? Thanks! |

The main volume knob controls the Main Outs and headphone volume.

Thanks for your reply. :)
Yes,its just that some of the patches i use have different volume settings and the volume knob seems to be a simpler way to adjust the volume without going into my soundscard's mixer. Why was it designed like this? |

Re: Volume knob doesnt work when connected to S/PDIF??
Thanks for the reply.
I've actually already done that..Its just that i want some rigs to sound lower in volume..It depends on the song or a spesific part in a song.. I come from the POD XT and have several projects recorded where i have used the POD to record (DI) guitar parts..Some tunes where the guitar is more in the back and other where its more up front in the mix..All other instrument parts have already been recorded and mixed.. I wanted to send the dry guitar recording to Eleven Rack, audition different patches/rigs so i could compare to the old recordings and then maybe replace them with the sounds from the Eleven Rack.. So,i dont really want to go into the rig volume setting and change all that just for a project and then change it again for the next.. Anyway..I just went back to the phones output.Problem solved. The main reason why i wanted to use the S/PDIF was because of my soundcard.. It has S/PDIF input and then the regular pair of 1/4" TRS inputs. So by connecting the Eleven Rack through S/PDIF i could use the other inputs for other gear and record from both sources at the same time. But its not a big deal. Its not possible on the POD XT either..I can just diconnect the output from the Eleven Rack and then plug it into the gear i want to use. |
