Default Pro Tools 12.2 Academic on additional system drive

how does one activate the 12.2 "academic" download using a shared license on an additional system drive? Pro Tools software keeps saying i need the PT 12 license, yet my avid master account says my crossgrade license is valid.

FYI- i am running PT 10.3.10 on OSX 10.8.5 with a crossgrade license (from M-Power originally)

alt drive is Yosemite OSX 10.10 with PT 12.2 installed but not activated.

can i run both of these software versions with the one license? PT support for registration and license questions is closed during COVID.

There is a forum for licensing.

You need a license on an iLok 2 or iLok 3 and iLok manager installed. Both iLok manager and Pro Tools has to see the license.

You can have as many copies of Pro Tools installed on as many system drives as you want, but none of them will open without the iLok and it's license being seen by the Pro Tools on whatever particular system drive you are using.

update - i moved my iLok license to iLok 2. my 12.2 software is asking for a PT 12 license, but my master account says i can install and use this software version with my crossgrade license, which is now only listed as PT 10 license - if that makes sense. if you've any ideas, license support at AVID is closed during the pandemic. cheers!
