Digi 002 MIDI problem
Quote:
You shared a picture of the audio devices in audiomidi setup, now open the midi devices window of audiomidi setup and see what's going on there. Look in either the view or window menu for the midi devices window. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Re: Digi 002 MIDI problem
You're correct. Neither controller produced sound, but again, they are lighting up the MIDI IN light on the face of the 002.
I tried trashing the preferences and databases.. No change I really appreciate your help! |

Re: Digi 002 MIDI problem
The MIDI Studio window shows that the 002 is not present as a MIDI interface. If it were, it would have the in/out arrows on the bottom not the top. The Digi 002 and Ensoniq entries you have are devices that you've created.
I would suggest resetting the iMac SMC, zapping NVRAM, resetting permissions and all the usual Mac tweaks. If that doesn't work, then a clean uninstall and reinstall of all things Pro Tools and 002 related. If that doesn't work, then a reformat and fresh installation of Mac OS. If that doesn't work I would conclude that something is wrong with the 002.

Re: Digi 002 MIDI problem
Another thing you can try first is creating a new MIDI Studio configuration. This will only work if you 002 is present and on. Click the dropdown menu in the MIDI Studio window and choose New Configuration. This should make everything available that is attached to the Mac.

Re: Digi 002 MIDI problem
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be trying this asap but I have to take a hiatus to work on some other things. Really appreciate you.
