Default Air Music Tech Announces Free v2.04 Updates and New Trial Versions

Free update for existing users of Hybrid 3, Velvet, Vacuum Pro, Transfuser, Structure, Strike and Loom

http://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home...trial-ver.html

How To Get The Air 2.04 Update:

Update only installers are available so you wont need to re-download your content. A new free serial number is required for this update to support the new license manager. This will be emailed to all existing V2.02 users over the next few days. If you received your copy through one of their hardware partners they will contact you directly with your free upgrade.

I still don't understand why 2.02 was a paid update. This freezes my IEP at 2.01, unless I pay. Even if I don't want Hybrid 3, all my other instruments are stuck behind the paywall.

Quote:
  • Optional support for using an iLok key to store your license.
  • New license manager to allow customers to manage their own authorizations.
  • Now install on up to three seats per license (Computers or iLoks).
Three seats through iLok, each can be registered to a dongle or computer? That's great! I sure hope you don't need their "new license manager" if you're already using iLok license manager.

.
Is there something in 2.04 worth fussing about? I can't see there's much new. What am I missing?

The "claim" new jaw dropping presets and a different copy protection scheme but otherwise I can't see anything exciting as usual with AIR.

Oh and Yosemite support.

Best Regards and I will send an email long overdue this week Donald

Thanks for the reply, Christopher. The presets they're referring to are for Hybrid 3 I suspect...but I already have that. (And no my jaw didn't drop...though there are some good patches there for sure). But as usual, nothing about Loom or Vacuum Pro patches. Look forward to hearing from you!

The ones that interest me are:
  • Wide range of performance enhancements and stability optimizations.
  • Improved support for Pro Tools 11.
  • Optional support for using an iLok key to store your license.
  • Now install on up to three seats per license (Computers or iLoks).

My problem is that the inclusion of VST support and Hybrid 3 turned 2.02 into a paid update, and user access to subsequent bug fixes and improvements which should be free are now contingent upon buying the 2.02 update, even if the user is only using AAX. This comes down to charging all early adopters (who bought between Dec '13 and Jun '14) an extra fee.

EDIT: I know it's only $30, the principle is more important than the money.

Yup! I quite agree. I don't find the list you mentioned above enticing enough to justify even $30!! Maybe if they specified what all those performance enhancements entailed...

I, for one, am looking forward to this update. I use Logic X with Yosemite and have come across a few snags while using the AIR Plugins. I could really use the 'performance enhancements' mentioned. I am a version 2.0.2 owner so this upgrade will be free for me

$30 for an upgrade is actually a really fair price if you ask me.
