Default How to uninstal Pro-Tools correctly for update

Hi,
I'm running Pro-Tools 11.1 in Win 7 Ultimate. I would like to update to version 11.2.1, which is a full installer.
So, in add/remove programs in Windows do I uninstall the AIR Creative Collection, Avid Effects, Avid HD Driver along with Pro-Tools? I'm thinking a totally clean install would be best.
Also, will I have to re-authorize all 3rd party AAX plug-ins after the install of Pro-Tools 11.2.1?
If anyone has some solid advice on this it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks & Peace.................

Hi

Use the clean uninstall option.

Also, no need to install your 3rd party plugins again, they will still be there after the new installation. You don't need to uninstall the AIR stuff either as it will also be there when you have finished installing the 11.2.1 version

Best Regards
Christopher

Just uninstall 11.1 including the driver and preferences.

Trasher 11 will save and restore your preferences. http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=316863

Thanks, Southsidemusic - I'll go with the clean install though I'll also uninstall the AIR stuff as one of the instruments is corrupted so I'l re-install that too, if that makes sense.
Mr. Olhsson suggested I uninstall the preferences as well. Where might I find the preferences folder?
Thoughts by any of the two of you?
Thanks muchas for your help. Appreciated. Peace.................

Preferences is a choice in the uninstaller.

One more important detail!!!! You will likely see an option during the uninstall, asking if you also wish to uninstall the HD driver. DO check that(regardless of whether you have HD or not).
