To accurately answer your question, we need more information from you;
  1. What version of PTLE are you using?
  2. What version of Pro Tools wasn the Mac HD rig?
  3. Exactly what format were the audio files recorded to on the mac rig?
  4. How are you transporting them from one rig to another?

If you're just doing audio files and not not session files, they should work no matter what- both mac and PC support wav and aiff files- which is what I'm guessing the files are...

But if they are mac SDII files, you're going to have issues.

I'm on 7.1...I think the HD mac was a version lower than 7...

I have all the mac files on my computer...But none of the files can be identified...Not even the audio files which you would think would be a simple wav file...It just says it's an unknown application...

What I was planning on doing was just opening up the files since I thought protools files were universal, which is obviously not the case.

I have the entire session file with the audio files, fades, and session files in them...

You should just try to open the session since you have 7.1

If the mac audio files end up being SDII, you can use Rail's SDTwoWav converter.

Yes, I tried opening it up and it says "this is not a valid protools session"...

I will try this link for audio conversion

Thank you

Actually, if you are getting that error, then it might be a different issue.

With 7.1, You should be able to open the session regardless.

Do the session files have the .pts extension on them? If not, try adding it.

Ok, good heads up...This is what happens when I make it a PTF file...I open it and it says

"This session contains SD2 files which are not supported on windows. After the session opens, these files will automatically be converted in the backround to the BWF (wav) file format and copied to the main audio files folder"

I then press "ok" and this comes up

"Could not complete the open session command because it was determined the session version is to old while transfering Document Info"
