Default Do i have a busted C8?

I bought a command 8 and the faders don't move at all. During the start-up sequence, or even from a session in pro tools, no fader movements whatsoever. The transport works ,and the meters etc, but when I move the fader it corresponds to one of the faders on the screen, but when I let go the fader snaps all the way back down to 0. Is this the same type of problem some of you guys were experiencing with the ground issue? I had it plugged into a surge protector but am totally willing to try alternative routes if it assures me I don't have to return the thing. I even went into the F1 Utility and tried the fader test and fader calibrations, no fader movement whatsoever. I'm thinking the motors are shot? But it's brand new...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

~John

John, upon powering up, all eight faders should go to +12 then back down to off. If not, I would say you have a problem.

I did in fact have a busted Command 8... I took it back and swapped it out where I bought it for another one... one of the techs there and I tried various combinations to try and figure out what was causing the issues with the other C8 (old one), we pretty much deduced that I had received a bum one. I think the PSU for the other one had been what failed, but oh well... the new one I have works beautifully and I love it.

Thanks for your help.
