Default 7.4 Horizontal Scroller

When I click the scroller on the bottom it slides over to the far right and simply will not come back.
This just started happening. I tried exiting PT and relaunch everything but the hz scroller won't come back from far right.
Unfortunately I was well zommed into what I was doing.

Is there a fix, I need the scroll bar?

Try posting a screenshot. It will explain things better.

I've actually had this happen as well, but I cannot reproduce it consistently.

There are also a few other GUI "glitches" that I've seen.

I simply can not do any more editing at all!!!

All day I haven't been able to do what I set out to do. Which was to edit 6 songs.
Because the hz scroller stays on the right hand side.

The only way to bring it back is to click and hold the mouse on the far left side of the scroll bar area but that's no fix because once I click the scroll bar it self to move the bar it immediately slides over to the far right.

Perhaps I should re-install 7.3.

Will I have incompatibility issues if I recorded on 7.4 and because of this will have to edit on 7.3?

There are definitely ways around it.

Change the zoom setting of the window.
or
Press play and then stop.

In my opinion, it's not at all unusable, just really, really annoying.

And again, I had it happen ot me the other day while editing, but haven't had it happen since. It's definitely sporadic.

I do have a question for you, though; do you have the dynamic transport turned on when it happens? Do you have any tracks "elasticized" at the time? I did, and I wanted to see if it was possibly related. Might not be, but worth comparing notes.

I want to collect as much info about it, and try to consistently reproduce it before reporting it to Digidesign. It will make it easier for them to find the problem and (hopefully) fix it.

Man I tell you ....... it's happening to me all the time right now.

I can't even count how many times it's happened in just the last 15-20 minutes.

Use R and T for zooming (with the "a...z" button enabled)

SHift, Alt and Crtl (individually, not all at one) in conjunction with the scroller on the mouse will get you shifting around your session.

Its at least a workaround.

I think this mostly happens at a certain zoom rate and I grab the bar to move it horizontally.

The only way to get out of this is to zoom out completely and then zoom back in.
If I don't do that the horizontal bar will stay at the right hand side no matter what.
Then after a while, sometimes right away, it happens again.
