Same here, too.

What I'm doing since a while is quitting PT before I load a new session.

I'm working a lot with VIs. Maybe it got to do s.th. with not released memory (i.e. Structure, Battery) which is allocated for samples ?

I don't use any VI's. All plugs i use are TDM except for Audioease's Speakerphone.
Is rtas causing the trouble? What are your computer specs?

Hi,

If this is with different sessions and not any specific sessions!! then its time to start looking at the hardware causes. Ram / internal drives / external drives / any connected USB or Firewire.

Chris

Occurs on different sessions. 70% of the time Protools does not free system usage on start of a new session. So that means coming from a jampacked session and starting a new empty session, system use remains the same as the jampacked session. So i actually see for instance Ativerb in the system use while it's not even used in this empty session... The only way to fix it is quiting and restarting Protools.
This sounds more like a software issue.
Did a clean install, permissions etc. No fix.

Have you tried turning DSP cache off? It's in the system usage window under the little pull down menu in the bottom right hand corner.
