Default A way to check RMS of whole file?

I am trying to find a way in Pro Tools (or any other Mac application) to check RMS of a whole audio file. The closest thing I have found is using Waves' PAZ in audiosuite mode. However, PAZ seems to show peaks in RMS throughout the file, rather than the actual RMS of the whole file.

My current workaround is to check the file in Soundforge on a PC. I am hoping to avoid the transfer to the PC.

Anyone know of a Mac product that will do this for me?

Thanks.

The AudioSuite Gain plug-in can tell you the RMS level of the selection (region/file). I believe the dB value displayed is relative to the reference level in the Pro Tools prefs.

Thanks for the quick answers, gentlemen. Audio Leak looks great as a stand-alone.

I am curious about the Gain plug-in being able to show RMS. I use it to analyze peak level, but have never seen an option for RMS. Is there something I am missing? I am still using versions of PT 6, not 7. Did Digi add RMS to the Gain plug-in for PT 7?

Thanks again.

the free dig plugin signal tools will do a LEq reading with any type of meter scale ( VU , Peak , Nordic , or combinations of these
also with a 1 second to infinite LEq DBm reading
