Default Recorded audio will not play back?

I just bought 7.4 for my Digi 002. I've recorded 6 test tracks, and when in record mode, they are live and print to the track as they should. Playback doesn't happen though. My output is Analog 1-2, and the click track is coming through the monitors loud and clear, but the printed audio wont play, it doesn't even register on the VU meter. I know its there, but I cant hear it. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm kind of a noob to this pro tool's stuff

Thanks!

Matt

How are you monitoring? Auto Input Monitoring or Input Only Monitoring? Because what your describing sounds exactly like what happens when you are trying to monitor back a recorded track still in record-ready and in Input Monitoring mode. Try switching to Auto Input Monitoring (if not already) or taking the track out of record-ready.

You can change your monitoring mode under track.

Hope this helps!

The audio wont play back armed or unarmed in either Input Only or Auto. Thats what I figured it was originally too...

You should probably just try trashing prefs, as that will reset everything and most likely fix the problem.

How do I restore preferences to default? I never touched them originally... that is what you're saying right?

Read the "General Troubleshooting" thread, it explains how to trash the preferences file.

So I tried booting from a USB drive, also tried booting from my internal drive, I deleted the prefs on both drives and restarted, and still the audio I've recorded will not read. Anyone have any other clues?

I've checked my I/O setup, my monitoring setup, my clock setup, I've deleted my preferences and restarted, I've booted from a USB drive, and from my internal drive... the click track plays through the monitors, but the printed audio doesn't. It still doesn't even read on the VU meter... whats the deal!? I can record fine, I just cant play back!

I'm running 7.4 on a 2.0 intel MacBook, I have 768MB Ram, I'm using a Digi 002 console... anyone have any idea of hardware specific compatibility problems?

Thanks for your help!

Can you hear the input to the channel while recording or while the track is just record armed?

If you make a brand new session, drag a section of the audio right from the finder onto the edit window, how about then?
