Default PT 10.3.10 / OSX 10.8.5 / MBP 13" 2.9 i7

I just upgraded from an older MBP to this machine in order to use Pro Tools 10 with a thunderbolt interface then I noticed that it is not on the compatibility list though I could not imagine why.

Anyone running this?

Macbook Pro 13" 2.9ghz i7
8 gig RAM
500 gig SSD

OSX 10.8.5 - PT 10.3.10

PT10 will work on that MBP but make sure you have a 7200rpm or SSD drive as OS drive and a secondary drive for recording to and the same there, 7200rpm or SSD in a USB3 or Thunderbolt case. Not USB2 or any cheapo case.

If that drive in the MBP is a 5400rpm drive then you will have lots of issues.

Currently running a Crucial 500GB SSD as system drive and a 1TB 7200 RPM HGST installed in the internal cd rom slot using the OWC data doubler adapter.

Nice!

You shouldn't have any issues to get this to work.

The compatibility list doesn't get the upkeep i would like and most Macs (as we use Macs only) works with PT so even if it says not supported or not on the comp list you shouldn't worry. That Mac is perfectly fine. We use a few MBP's that aren't on those lists and run 100+ track sessions for huge worldwide DJ stars all the time relying those Macs both live and tracking so that Mac you have will work for PT10/11/12 aswell.
