Default Volume automation: Changing overall level??

I have a vocal track with volume automation. How do I increase and/or decrease the overall level a few DB without changing any of the automation movements? This is obviously for having several mixes with vocals up and/or down. Thanks in advance, Jason

In Volume mode, you use the Trimmer ([) tool

From the manual.

"The Trimmer lets you adjust all selected breakpoints
up or down by dragging anywhere within
that selection."

You can select any number (including all points) and move those automation points up or down.

Is is a lifesaver!

Or a real easy way is to put the trim plug-in on the track and adjust the level with that. It gives you level adjustment and the volume automation of the track stays the same.

or you can also use a compressor and just set the ratio all the way down and turn the threshold
all the way up and that will give you more of a gain, but you probalby wouldn't need that much
gain for what your trying to do
