Default Pro Tools on windows 10 laptop?

Hi,

Is ASIO4ALL required to run Pro Tools on a PC with internal sound card? or how do I start pro tools on a windows
machine? It just say "Unsupported buffersize" but I can't change it anywhere. Its like HD audio.. laptop internal sound card. So happy I switched to Mac :)

PC Internal sound cards typically do not play nice with PT on their own. ASIO4ALL will get you going, but usually not without some pain. If you just want to do some editing or mixing on the laptop, then this would probably work fine. Any serious recording plans and I would not choose this option.

Using the FL Studio ASIO driver works a lot better, but is a lot more involved since you have to install/uninstall FL Studio to get it.

Your best option is of course to use an external ASIO interface. Any of the Low cost ones from Focusrite, Presonus, MOTU, ..... work well.

Another way is to use the FL Studio ASIO driver. Not as feature rich as ASIO4ALL but is very straight-forward and works well for hearing PT through computer speakers.

Just d/l the free FL demo, the driver will be installed.

You don't even have to use FL ever.
