Talking Multi-Platinum PT 8 Video

For those that are interested, I did a PT 8 Video for Multi-Platinum. It's part of their Platinum labs line. It's only $10, and it's an hour long, it showcases A LOT of new things that you may or may not have known about that PT 8 does. It leans more towards advanced user's, to help migrate and see how some of the new features work, but it's useful to new users as well, so you can get up and running in no time and start taking advantage of the new features, and a technique that Shane Johnson and myself came up with for track comping so that you can do it seamlessly and on the fly.

Then you guys can rag on me on how much of a dork I am. :)

Cheers!

I went to a local sneak-peak on PT8 where they went through all the new features, but thanks for pointing out the other videos :) I might have to get a few of them since I am a recent switch over to PT8 and know some of the flow of using it is slightly different than other DAWs.

I also saw you are from FullSail in Orlando. I visited the school when my brother was going there a few years ago. Was a pretty cool setup.

Yeah it is a wicked cool school, they have the latest greatest always. We are the only facility on the planet that has 18 Icons on campus. :)

It's an overview, with some hints and tricks. It's doesn't show you how to edit, but it showcases how all the new edit modes work. I touch on the VI's and some of the air stuff and demo them, I wanted it to be a bit of hybrid so that new users can get it, but advanced users can migrate. It get's in depth with some of the new features, like Track Comping especially. and I show off the Midi and Score editor a bit. It's a good video for the time I had to do it, check it out. i think it will be informative. :)

I ordered it as well but I'm a bit worried how they will send me the file to my 10 mb's limited mail inbox? ("file sent via Email. Allow 24 hours for delivery!")
