Outputs 002 vs Mbox Pro 3rd Generation
Hello all I have looked around on for this answer and have found some bits but wanted to post and confirm.
What level are the "monitor outs" and out 3-4 on a 002/003? Do they differ from the Mbox Pro 3rd Generation? Reason I ask is I have a very small set of monitors (pc speakers that do not require power) I use in my booth just to hear a hybrid phone patch for direction. On my previous 002 I was able to plug them right in the back on out 3-4 (or it may have been ALT mon out) .. either way I could hear them just fine. I did have to raise the volume on the aux track in pro tools to +7db, but it worked GREAT. I replaced the 002 console with the mbox pro 3rd generation and everything is much lower. I can barley hear anything coming out of the speakers now and I have the AUX track pumped up as high as it will go. I realize that I can solve this with a small mixer, but I am curious as to why there is such a difference and what that difference is between the mbox pro 3rd generation and the 002. Unless I am missing something in the Mbox control panel??? Thanks for any insight. |
