Original time stamps don't export with audio in PT8?

I don't know if I'm going crazy, but I swear I used to be able to export audio from a session and time stamp information would remain in the exported file. Doesn't seem to work in PT8. Exporting to AIFF or WAV leaves the original time stamp blank as reported in the Workspace browser.

Did this ever work, or am I confused?

If so, I thought I should bring this response from the Melodyne folks to your attention :


".... Pro Tools 8 has a bug with timestamping. If you export
to WAV or AIFF files, no timestamp is written. Please choose SDII as your export audio file format."

So now I see what it is: selecting a region and renaming it (region and disk) causes the time stamp to disappear.

That seems bad.
