Which drive is faster? Firewire or Ata?
I am thinking of buying a firewire but do not know if it would be better to recording then my ata drives.

hi,
at the risk of sounding like a geek, which might not be a bad thing, i am using a glyph 9gig drive that is ultrawide scsi, or scsi 3, whatever you want to call it...80 pin. it is FAST. made faster still by scsi's ability to read and write at the same time. my $.02 mike |

I believe the transfer rate is still faster w/ ATA drives. But I'm not sure what the actual speeds are.
