...and by the way, it's the 11R I just purchased, not the 003. It's far too late to just return that. I'd have to sell it for a loss.

If you're a sound engineer, then you are a shopper. Everyone makes a bad purchase. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Some people hate Microsoft or any PC running Windows. Some people hate Macs. They often don't have any rational reason for hating other than they are popular with someone they don't like.

Technology is statistics. Demonstrate why something is better or admit it's just an opinion.

BTW, I don't have an opinion. I'm receptive to any evidence-based criticism.

I get that it's fun to wise-crack on an internet forum where you can be (or at least have the illusion that you are) anonymous.

But in all seriousness, I was trying to ask you to back up your argument about your interface of choice and what is "better" than the Digi. I might buy it if you have a convincing argument. Fill us all in on this.

I hear you say the drivers are buggy. I'm not really having that experience, but maybe I will in future.

Other than that your criticism isn't specific. You just imply it is not a "modern" interface. Make a case for one that is better in a similar price range. I'm all ears.

jrichview - you'll need to provide a lot more detail if you expect to get any help. What OS are you running, what chipset? What driver level are you at?How hot does your processor run? My brother builds this stuff in La Jolla California and sells it on his own, so I know all about it so I always reccomend people buying something from him - I'll provide links - he has a uinit like the 0033 but it has 17 preamps you can double mic all your drums and instruments in what he patnted as a "virtual re-record" system, for only like $500 - and he still makes money. The overhead for most companies for this stuff is usually pretty high, but not for him.
