Default booting from a firewire drive

does anyone here boot from a firewire drive on a regular basis? and if so...is it reliable? any conflicts? etc...?

it's a 9.2.2 system with protools 5.1 mix.

thanks.

I currently boot OS X on a Firewire drive. I have OS 9 on my G4's internal hard drive. Works great. No problems.

Slangification,

You do exactly waht I wanted to do, but failed. I have a publically used computer, so I wanted to keep my personal files and OSX on an external FW drive.
