Installed HD drivers and PT 2024.3. Everything working great. No issues.

Favorite feature so far is detachable Melodyne and Clip Effects tabs, so I can move to a different monitor.

How about legacy controllers like Icon/C24? Are they still working with this update?

In Rosetta on Mx or on Intel, yes.

Does "significant performance improvements utilizing Efficiency Cores in M1, M2, and M3" apply to running PT in rosetta? (Boz holding up the works.)

Also, could you guys finally fix the "quick reply" at the bottom of every thread? It still psychs me out.

running in Rosetta mode here

I didn't do any exact tests because unfortunately I read the news about the performance improvement only after installing PT 2024.3, but now I see 16 cores instead of 12 (both Rosetta and Native), and I can play sessions that previously had exceeded the maximum CPU limit so they stopped continuously, now they don't stop anymore

I can't say the exact percentage of improvement, I imagine it also depends on which processor it is, the relationship between efficiency core and processing core

yesterday I did some tests between Rosetta and Native, and, with great surprise, I found that some plugins (to be precise UADx distressor, stereo) are much better performing in Rosetta mode than Native mode... to give an order of ideas, in Rosetta around 300 tracks, in Native around 220 tracks, so the difference is substantial

the interesting thing to do would be to go back to PT 2023.12 and do more "scientific" experiments, but since everything is working well I prefer not to touch anything

Is anyone else having issue with MIDI playback?
I have a simple session, WA Triaz(native) for drums, UA Electra and Diva. All on stereo Instrument tracks.

I've got a four-bar MIDI chord progression I recorded looped playing the Electra. Triaz is playing its own internal sequence. I am messing around with Diva on top of the other two and have not recorded anything yet. Almost every other time I switch presets on the other two instruments, Electra stops responding to the notes in the MIDI clip. There is also an instance of Scaler on a separate instrument track that I use to pull chords from, but is not playing anything.

It usually gets stuck on the first note then plays nothing. Sometimes it will start playing again mid sequence, some times it needs to be restarted... Some times it takes a few tries to get it play back the chord clip. I tried switching out Electra, still happens with other instruments from different manufactures.

I've tried switching from the MIDI out of the instrument channel from Chain to directly into the instrument. Same problem.

Mac OS 13.6.4, Mac Studio M1 Max, 64GB Ram - All instruments are up to date..... Why can't I edit my old signature?? lol
