Default Buses and Sends

I have an audio project where I have a "Bass Distortion" bus created in the I/O assignment window. I have a bass bus created and the send for the bass track goes to that bus. The bus input is assigned to the Bass Distortion bus and the output is normal. The track works PERFECT! Now, for the tricky part. I open another project where that path was not assigned so I went to the I/O window and created a new bus labeling it the same. I did all the same setup in the second project for input/output settings between the bass track and bus but for some reason, the bass bus track has no sound. I check the send level and they are all the same as the other project. If I assign the bus track to another bus (created by protools when making a new session) such as bus 5 or 6 (cause Im going for mono at this point) then all works fine.

Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong? I truly appreciate it cause Ive never been so stumped in all my life with this. My specs are listed in the signature if it helps.

Default Re: Buses and Sends

Bus and sends has been annoying ever since PT9 gave us more buses. Sometimes(most times) the easiest solution is to delete and re-apply the same bus selections. I see it here as well, along with outputs that get changed to a bus. Things that make you go
