Default On M-audio fast track pro "insert" channels

On M-audio fast track pro "insert" channels only work for "mic / nstr" channels or for the whole output signal?

Inserts are for the input. They are before the A>D conversion. What is the issue?

albee1952 if I connect the compressor via "STEREO JACK + 2 MONO JACK", what will happen in the end?

Whatever input you have should go thru the compressor

The fact is that when I connect the compressor, it only receives a signal from the "mic / Instr" inputs, but not from the PC.

And I assumed that with the insert channel only works with "mic \ instr".

This is correct. The insert jacks are NOT for inserting hardware onto an existing track in Pro Tools. If that is what you want, let me try to talk you out of that for the following reasons:
#1-unless you have some very high-end hardware, using a plugin will meet or beat any inexpensive hardware(Alesis, Behringer, DBX......)
#2-to use hardware inserts in Pro Tools, you need an interface with at LEAST 4 inputs and 4 outputs(2 outputs will always be dedicated to your monitors) as hardware routing can only be done with matched IO(IOW, output #3 with input #3. output #4 with input #4)
#3-using hardware inserts requires delay compensation, which you must calculate and set manually.
#4-using hardware inserts is not likely to make better recordings. Having a lot of skill and experience makes better recordings

If you want to insert an EQ or compressor WHILE recording, that's fine, but be careful with a few things:
#1-don't use too much compression on the way in. You can always add more later(love those plugins) but its pretty impossible to get rid of too much
#2-if you use an EQ on the way in, will you be able to remember/match the settings weeks or months later when you decide to re-sing some phrase that's bugging you
