Be specific with the model! This always causes confusion if you only type the acronym. There are:
Former was last supported on latest PT10 (no 64bit drivers) and the latter works only in non-rosetta-mode (no Apple Silicon drivers).

My apologies!
It’s the Avid C|24. What is Rosetta mode? I’m on Monetery OS. Quote:

Rosetta is needed when you use Intel code on Apple machines. Which means the desk is not working with Apple Silicon computers (and probably never will).
Rosetta has been great in getting more software onboard faster -- but unfortunately, low-level drivers must be hard-coded without emulators.

i dont have apple Silicon computer/ I have the 2019 Mac Pro. I have a intel Xeon processor. So based on what you are telling me i should be able to use Rosetta to gain access to the C|24 since im not on a Apple Silicon?

Yes you should be able to get it working NOW, but that is the end of line -- no more upgrades to your host computer.

Lets try again. Your C|24 will work on your Intel Mac with current Pro Tools versions. If you upgraded to an Apple Silicon Mac your C|24 would work when running current Pro Tools versions under Rosetta (Rosetta runs the old Intel code on the Apple Silicon macs), the C|24 will not when running Pro Tools Apple Silicon native on an Apple Silicon Mac. Avid have made it clear the C|24 will not be supported native on Apple silicon, what happens in future Pro Tools releases on Intel is anybody's guess. Hopefully Avid keeps it working, but there us no guarantee. And you might only have a year or two of new releases on Intel, who knows. All this has been explained in recent Pro Tools release notes, many other posts on DUC about the C|24, many in the last few months, googling should have found those and got you answers faster. Re: is Pro Tools Carbon Compatible with c|24?
Just to clarify this... and I know Janne knows it and just misspoke. There are no "low-level drivers" aka kernel device drivers/kexts involved in using a C|24, and that is why the C|24 run perfectly fine under Rosetta. Avid has just decided to end engineering support for the C|24 and not rewrite the Pro Tools application software that deals with the C|24 for Apple Silicon.
