Default XPAND2: Separating the Toms from the Cymbals

In XPAND2's basic drum kits, is it possible to separate the cymbals from the toms to separate tracks? The kick and the snare are easy, but some of the cymbals and toms share the same range, for example (hats+toms+cymbals selector). I want to isolate ALL the toms on one track and ALL the cymbals on another track and wonder if XPAND2 has this capability. PLEASE tell me that it does. :O) Thanks in advance.

Put the plug-in on an aux track and trigger it from separate midi tracks - one for each part.

When you're ready to commit to audio simply mute unwanted parts and record to a separate track. Repeat for each part.

Or you could record the MIDI with a single MIDI track, then duplicate the MIDI track so you have one for each drum part and remove the MIDI notes on each track so that each has a single instrument. Create the same number of Xpand instrument tracks and setup each MIDI and Instrument track to its own MIDI channel. Then they are separated, though you need a fast enough computer if you have a ton of Xpand tracks. This way you can bounce them all down to individual audio tracks in one pass. I used to do this all the time for drums with Xpand and Colossus.
