Default Hi all and Question on upgrading

Hi all
I am new to the community and got a question about upgrading. I've got a license of Pro Tools 9 M-Powered for a couple of years now. I've been offered a good deal in a shop for a crossgrade to Pro Tools 9 Native and wanted to know if I would get a direct update to Pro Tools 11 for the new registration.
That's all!
Thank you all for your time.

I don't see the value of crossgrading from PT9 M-Powered to standard PT9. The cost of upgrading from either of those to PT11 is the same. Just upgrade your PT9 M-Powered straight to PT11 in the Avid store.

You weren't thinking you'd somehow get a free upgrade to PT11 were you?

Be careful, some people bought PT9 software with a free upgrade to PT10, after the PT11 announcement, thinking that when they registered PT10 they would then get a free PT11 upgrade.

But from what I remember reading in the relevant thread, it doesn't work like that, Avid's system recognises that they actually bought PT9, and so they had to pay to upgrade to PT11.

All in all, you're probably better off just upgrading directly from PT9 M-Powered to PT11. It's more certain, that's for sure.
