Licence number for Reason Adapted

hello,

my factory bundle came with Reason Adapted and I decided to load it tonight.

it asked for my 'Licence Number'.

i have gone into 'my digi' and retrieved a code

'Propellerhead Software Reason Adapted 3 DDLA*********


i copy and pasted this code into the box but it says 'licence number was not entered correctly! please try again'


is this the licence number or am i being really stupid? where else should i be looking for a number?

right! i worked out how to get the licence.

i added it in. now it says 'failed to locate and install reason engine, exiting'

so...what should i do!??!

1) Have you launched Reason in standalone mode prior to using Pro Tools, it installs certain components, this is only required once.

2) Check for a rewire update for leopard.

The issue (Mac OS X) may be caused by the wrong versions of the ReWire shared components being present or the "Propellerhead Software" folder being set to "Read Only". You can manually try to set it to "Read & Write" or do the following:

Delete the folder called "Propellerhead Software" located here:

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software

Next Reason Adapted needs to be started in standalone mode (i.e. *without* Pro Tools or any other ReWire host running). Reason Adapted will re-create this folder when it's not present, and it can't do this if it's running as a ReWire client.

i have reason refills with the file extension .rfl

when i try to use them it says 'bad format'. any ideas?

i used to use them on my pc version of reason and i was told that they should transfer to mac no problems so i just copied the folder across. is this not going to work?

There is only one ReFill that I am aware of that works with Reason Adapted, available from the Downloads section of the Propellerhead website:

aha! so adapted is the problem. thats fine. i was using the full version on the PC.

i am currently waiting for my full version to arrive. so it will work with that then? phew!

i had no idea they did not work with adapted. thanks for that.

at least there is nothing wrong.

I'm going to have to bump this one… I've got the same problem, working on mac os X.4.11.
