Default Factory Plug-in Registration Quandry

After attending a 7.4 demo in Salt Lake City a few weeks ago, I decided to purchase an MBox 2 online from a NON Digidesign authorized source. (probably a mistake). I purchased under the premise that the product was new. I registered the MBox 2 and the Ignition Pack without a problem yesterday (July 30, 08). (I even got the email about updating to 7.4 for free) When I opened the cardboard Factory envelope it had software, a "thank you for buying factory" note but no registration card.

Either 1 of 2 things has happened. Either 1) there was no card packaged or 2) it was removed by the seller and registered to someone else.

Is there any way to find out whether the plug-ins that came with this bundle were registered to someone else? If they were, I can try and follow the guidelines on http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...56&itemid=4987 about transfer of plugins. If they weren't registered, it appears that no registration ID card was packaged and I would have a beef with Digidesign on this.

Ideally, the plug-ins weren't registered and I can work something out with DIGI. I really don't want to go down the path of accusing the seller of taking the card . . .

. . . and I was SOOOO looking forward to playing with the plug-ins

Thanks for any help on this.

Default Ticket

My thoughts exactly.

I've got a ticket in with them already with no reply. Just thought I'd post here 'cuz people are pretty quick to reply here when compared to Support. I was also hoping that a DIGI admin would come across my post.

Thanks

Not much any of us other users can do when it comes to registration, that's between the user and Digi.

Are you unable to call them? Hold times for Customer Service aren't like the ones for Tech Support, usually you can get right through with a minimum of hold time.
