Default MBox SPDIF out ??

I just wanted to connect external DA to MBox via its SPDIF out - but there seems to be no way in the software. If I want to choose SPDIF as an output , this option is not available in the output menu. How comes ?? SPDIF is not available in send/ insert either ... WHy not ?

Default Re: MBox SPDIF out ??

The simple answer is the low bandwidth provided by that USB cable--can't carry too much back and forth; so no send/return functionality. As far as the S/PDIF output goes--it's always on--it mirrors the analog outs.
