OMF tranfer
Hi Digi,
I heard that OMF transfer of 24 bit sessions is a little buggy. First off can you do OMF transfers with the 001/XP systems using OMF Tool? Second, I heard now you have to use the new DigiTranslator to accomplish OMF? Does that fix 24-bit file OMF transfer? Thanx, PP |

Re: OMF tranfer
Anything coming from an Avid will be 16-bit so I'm not sure what your source of 24-bit OMF files is. DT will allow you to output a 24-bit Session from 16-bit source files. It will up convert the 16-bit files into 24-bit files during the conversion.

Re: OMF tranfer
Hi,
What I mean is if for instance I had a 2408 and an Audiomedia III card, could I record my tracks (24-bit) into Digital Performer or AudioDesk, save it as an OMF file and open it up in Pro Tools LE as a 24-bit file and continue work using the Audiomedia card?
