Snow Leopard comes with both QT 10 and 7.

I have Quicktime Pro v7.6.6. Do you know how to export it from QT7?

You'll have to extract the audio tracks one by one.
With Apple-J you open the properties window, showing all tracks in the movie. Deselect all but the first audio track, click extract. A new QT movie will open; Apple-E opens its export dialog. Select Sound to wav, Mono, etc and save. Then deselect this track in the props window, select next one, and so on. Track order of the six mono files could be either film or SMPTE

Cheers
Florian

Hi Florian!

Just the other day I downloaded a 1080p QT with 5.1+LtRt attached from a Distributor. I imported the QT, then I went to import audio, and selected the QT. Pro Tools told me there were 8 tracks, well I should hope so! I imported them just fine.

These were 24/48k files by the way.

Tschüss,

Tom

They killed QT 7 a long time ago and replaced with 10. But, you can:

I tried this method however it didnt work. Instead it converted the 5.1 file to a mono file. It did not isolate each file. Did i do somethign wrong or is there a program that will read the H.264, 1920 x 800, Millions
AAC, 5.1 (C L R Ls Rs LFE), 48.000 kHz file?

I had this happen too when extracting all audio in one go.
That's why I suggested the tedious one-by-one method. Works for me (but I'm talking about linear PCM; maybe its no-go with AAC).

Cheers
