Upgrade from PT 9.0.6 to 10

Morning. I have been running PT 9.0.6, years ago, I downloaded the upgrade(10) and wanted to install it. Seems like I had to go to AVID acct and download it again. (10.3.10). In my Ilok account I see license for 10 and 11. I'm scared to install and then find out after uninstalling 9 that 10 won't activate. Does it do it without a serial (License)? Or can I install without any worries?

If your ilok account says you have a PT10 and PT11 combo license then it will activate but if you only see a PT9 license then you need to buy an upgrade.

What iLok key do you have today?

Yep, I have licenses. But after installiing PT 10, my Midi controller AKAI MPK 249 wouldn't control my PT. I was able to control using my keyboard, but not the AKAI, after calling AVID I was told that PT 9 and 10 weren't compatible with Windows 8 that I would have to downgrade my windows to 7. I said NOT, I didn't wanna hear that it's not compatible when it's been working since 2013. So I went back to 9.0.6 and my AKAI is controlling it now. Thanks for the quick reply.
