Komplete Audio 6 Device Initialization Issues

I have run into some issues with the new Komplete Audio 6 interface that I purchased this week. I am replacing my M-Audio Fast Track Pro and hooked up the new Komplete Audio 6 interface and everything initially seemed ok. I installed the new 3.1.0 drivers and updated the firmware to version 45. The interface works great... when it's on 44100 for the sample rate. If I change it to 48k or 96k I get the "Pro Tools could not initialize the current playback device. please make sure that the device has been configured correctly." error.

I tried changing the sample rate, USB and process buffer size with different combinations but it's like it doesn't hold the correct value and Pro Tools tries to change it back to 44100 every time (when I check back in the NI control panel). This goes for projects that were brand new that I made at 96k and saved (afterwards I can't open them due to the error listed above) or projects that are in 44100 that I had from way back. I have no idea what else to do, any suggestions?

I m having the same problem except i cant get it to work at all, but only protools doesnt work, i m going to try uninstalling and reinstalling KA6, did u ever find a solution for this?

Are you using it for the system/Windows Audio also? In the advanced tab in the sound control panel make sure both "exclusive mode" device options are checked for recoding and playback. If that doesn't work, try configuring the system audio to use another device.

I never did find a solution to this, I had to return the KA6 and I purchased a Focusrite 2i4 which has worked great since.

Just a tip, I found out after I purchased the newest audio interface that you can not have ANY antivirus software on the computer whatsoever. The Focusrite engineer told me that it kept enabling my disabled internal sound card or changing the settings as it saw the audio driver as "messing with" the original settings. I removed the AV software, disabled the sound card, changed settings and rebooted and that fixed my issue with the Focusrite. So maybe this could be a fix if you're having PT troubles. Try that and see if it helps.

I have used the K6 on boxes with Norton and Kaspersky AV with no problems on either. Not sure what's up with the Focusrite stuff and/or whatever AV you were using.

Thanks i just got it working at 44100 last night, noticed system parameters can be opened when starting a session, found it at 48000, switched to 44100 and it worked, dont know how it happened i had never looked at this before, Thanks for your help
