Default Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration here..

Hi! I've just bought a Mbox 2 with protools 7. I followed every instruction and installed the soft and hard.
When I open a session an error -9093 appears when I press play. And when I open the system usage window, the cpu line goes to red, as if it was overwhelmed.
I was installing my mbox in a second partition and system in the disk, but since it wasn't working, I deleted the whole hd and started a new partition and system. Does it affect somehow to have more than one partition in the disk?or more than one system?
I copy my configuration, and ask you please to help me, since I have no system to continue working.
Than you very much in advance.

SiSoftware Sandra

Hi everyone,
If you have or are experiencing a problem getting your Windows system up and running with Pro Tools LE and Mbox or 002, we want to know about it...in detail. Please add your configuration details to this thread. We can use this information to help determine the root cause of your problems and get you answers.

In the best of all worlds, you would download SiSoftware's Sandra Lite application, run the System Summary module, then copy the results to the clipboard and paste them in your response thread. If you are willing to do this, it will help to expedite the process of determining the root cause of your problems.

You can download SiSandra Lite from on of the links on this page:

Thanks again for your patience...

Hello!

Has anybody got any response from Digidesign on this thread in the last few weeks?

I can not find any.

Is it monitored by Digidesign at all?

SOME of these posts are monitored by Digidesign staff, but most are monitored by DUC forum members. I myself have a post about a week old (page 42) and have heard nothing.

I am considering just switching another brand of recording software because no matter how great PT is, it's only great when it "works." Otherwise, this forum is the source for answers.

This of course means "scrapping" all my PT files, but MANY times that is a blessing because the best music written and recorded are "recycled ideas" from past sessions.

Any ideas on what software to go with?

I've just bought my mbox2 and it doesnt work. I've installed everything ok in a new Xp Os. Since I'm not getting any answer I'm also considering changing back to Cubase or Nuendo. I'm gonna give it a last try, but if nothing happends I'm changing.
I hope we can solve this things out. I work with audio, and every day a loose without an answer is a lost working day.

Good Luck!

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x/7.x General Troubleshooting thread and let us know if those configuration steps help at all.
