Thanks

I have both WNS and W43 and find using W43 more often. Sometimes all you need is a subtle noise reduction in low mid or mid range and I love W43 for that job. If the noise reduction can be transparent, than its definitely a W43...or DNS one (well...$$$$) For $64 it is no brainer, ust get it, you will never look back! If you work for post it's an essential tool I would say.
Last time I bought it, it was discounted to 89 bucks....so you see for yourself.

LoAir is also on sale. You may also find that useful.

I use the UM226 to create L/C/R + LFE (LoAir comes with the plug) from 2-channel music tracks. Sounds very nice to me! However, I can't say that I'm a big fan of the rear channel extraction algorithm, so I usually mute those and use a (separate) reverb for Ls/Rs.

UM226 is great and is quite flexible. It's true that Ls/Rs are not as good as they could be, but it still ok.

Hi Mike. I use them both frequently and paid more than $64 each on sale. Now is definitely the time to get them! The last feature I did was super low budget with an insane deadline and I used UM225 on stereo backgrounds and UM226 on the stereo music. It saved a lot of time and provided the client with a 5.1 mix even though there wasn't time to do it like I normally would. W43 can help noise that RX2 can't get sometimes.

W43 is great especially for $64!

Whats the difference between UM225 and UM226?

UM225 does 2->5, UM226 does LFE also.

oh 225 like two to five and 226 like two to six....clever waves, clever...

So is having 226 and loair redundant for generating LFE or do they operate differently?
