Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
It still only shows 2019.6 in the expanded account downloads page. No 2020.9 available.

Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
Maybe it takes time to update links, but announcement has been made.

Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
ok, thanks J.
maybe they're staggering download availability to prevent their servers getting overloaded. I'll keep an eye on it. |

Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
Well, just as a test, I signed up personally to see what would happen, and I immediately got the link for the new version without a problem.
Yet, my client is still not getting a link to the new version in his "Products" list when logged in. I notice that every dmg installer gets timestamped these days with the date/time that it was downloaded - rather than the date/time it was actually created. This makes it difficult to even detect if an installer has been updated or changed in some way. Can I just send him my new 2020.9 installer? or are these things personalized? Would his authorization that was initiated already for the non-working 2019.6 work with the 2020.9 install if I use the PT First installer I personally received? I just don't get why the installers are not made publically available upon release. |

Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
Thanks for your continued efforts to help J.
much appreciated. On the "My Account" page it says, "Status Not Linked", with a hyperlink prompting me to "link this account". When I click on that, the popup login does not accept the username and password. Note to Avid: compare all this convoluted procedure to the simplicity of the UAD software page: https://www.uaudio.com/uad/downloads/ Last edited by Tweakhead; 09-04-2020 at 12:30 PM. |

As long as they have a valid iLok ID associated with their Avid account / PTF instance, then the auth should work for the new version too. I signed up for PTF when it first dropped and have never had to upgrade my license when upgrading to a new version. |

Re: Pro Tools First Mojave Compatibility
ok, that's great to know Will. Many Thanks !
I helped my client go thru the entire install and authorization for PTF v2019.6 already, and it simply wouldn't launch on his new Catalina MacBook Pro, so hopefully this will be it. Last edited by Tweakhead; 09-04-2020 at 02:58 PM. |
