Default Extracting Audio from DVD is OSX

I was using CDextractor in OS9, is there something for OSX. I would like to able to pop a DVD in my Powermac and extract the audio from it.Not in real time like Audio Hijack though. Thanks.

Check on versiontracker, there are lots of apps that do this. Search for DVD.

Getting picture and audio together is not that straightforward. Do-able but not easy.

Not in ProTools. You can get quite a few apps that will extract the audio as some format that you will then need to import into ProTools.

try http://www.dvdxdv.com/
or google search for ffmpeg or mediapipe

is a buggy peice of crap. I just wasted hours trying to get it to grab some audio. one out of 5 tries it sees the disk, then one out of 4 of those successes, it extracts the audio correctly. other times, it looks like it's working but the files are corrupt, noise garbage that protools trips on with a "logical end of file" error.

Great.
