Reorder or renumber groups in group list?

Is there any way to reorder groups in the group list?

For example, if mix or edit groups a, b, and c are related to percussion and, further along in a session that has now accumulated dozens of groups, you create a fourth group also related to percussion, is there any way to (i) assign its letter to d and/or, perhaps more importantly, (ii) have it appear in the group list visually near the earlier groups a, b, and c?

i will have to play around with it and see if there is a way .. i am doing backups today !!!
