Default Can't Extract PT LE Zip File To Install- Help!!!

This is insane - after downloading the 8.0.1 update, which did a wonderful job of WRECKING a perfectly good installation that I had been using for over a year, I just tried to re-download it and start from scratch. I've downloaded it TWICE now, once with Firefox and once with IE, and BOTH times I've got completely useless files. I cannot extract the zip, or else the whole window goes into "NOT RESPONDING", and I can't open the setup.exe file inside the zip folder without getting the same thing.

Anyone have any idea what the hell is going on???!?!

I'm using XP Pro with an 002, if that matters. Everything on my machine has always worked perfectly, it looks like the zip files I am getting are corrupt rubbish. Argh!!!!!!!!!

What program are you using to unzip the downloaded files? I use Winrar.
