Elven Rack with new UA Apollo?

I'm currently using Pro Tools 10 with the ER but need more analog line level audio ins and outs. I'm looking at the UA Apollo to use with the ER but wondered if it could be used alongside the ER? Would I be able to use them simultaneously? Many thanks !

I don't see why not as the ability to have aggregate devices has been available since PT 9 I believe.
That was a leading feature if memory serves.
Just try it.. does it see both interfaces?

Keep in mind that device aggregation is only available on the Mac...

I don't see the need to aggregate it. The 11R will work just fine hooked and synced with spdif to the Apollo.

Plus, in my experience, aggregating devices is not time well spent unless it gives you a serious boost in I/O, which the 11R doesn't. Its probably best not over complicate things.

And we're probably not gonna see the Apollo till March, so no rush either.

I don't see why this wouldn't work out. Apollo is said to start shipping around march. It should work perfectly for what you want.

Not to hijack but I was going to post a thread very similar and saw this thread.

I have a universal audio 2192 and was looking for input on the 11 rack being my interface to use the 2192 with the laptop. Anyone have more experience with this or similar?

More of a guitar player only needing a few ins and don't feel the need to buy another interface just to get the 2192 in unless I am going to be using it. Don't want a "dongle" bc dont need the extra io or desk space

I'm a little confused by your question. There's no reason why the 2192 shouldn't work just fine into the digital I/O of the Eleven Rack, or any other interface that has digital I/O.
